Leaders in Environmental Conservation
Local Value Magazine is firmly committed to making our publication environmentally friendly from the recycled paper used to print the magazine to the bio degradable inks that are used in the printing press. Environmental stewardship is imperative to keep the planet that we all share clean. We will continue to take steps to lower our carbon footprint and currently we have established the following green initiatives:
- The paper used in our magazine is only made from fibers that are harvested from certified sustainably managed forests.
- Over 98% of the wood fiber that enters the paper producer's mill is used in the production process leaving less than 2% waste.
- All inks used are vegetable based and bio degradable.
- The magazine coating is a bio degradable water based product.
- All excess paper and paper waste from our printer is recycled or reused. Also, we comply with all hazardous waste disposal standards for non-paper waste.
- Our printer uses a UV printing press which does not utilize heaters to dry the ink creating a much more energy efficient process.
- We proof and edit our magazines using Adobe PDF files rather than hard copies which eliminates wasted ink and paper.
- We update our mailing list every cycle. This step not only dramatically improves your return on investment, but also eliminates over 99% of all undeliverable mail.
- All of our marketing materials are printed on chlorine-free recycled paper.
Together we can all make a difference. If you have any additional suggestions please contact us.
